FLINTS TV / NETWORK INFORMATION
AN ALTERNATIVE CABLE UNIVERSE
THE GOOD STUFF IS STILL ON. Flints TV is an original internet television network for open film, odd instruction, archival culture, and beautiful static. It behaves like television, not a catalogue of thumbnails.
EVERYONE TUNES TO THE SAME MOMENT.
Every channel repeats an ordered playlist from a fixed UTC epoch. Deterministic scheduling calculates the programme and its elapsed playback position, so viewers joining the same frequency arrive together. Your timezone does not change the broadcast.
STREAMED, NOT NEEDLESSLY REHOSTED.
Where the source permits it, the player streams directly from Internet Archive or another approved original URL. The administration workflow reviews file format, duration, licence evidence, and source availability before a programme enters the public schedule.
NO FABRICATED SIGNALS.
Stations with approved sources broadcast their verified, openly licensed programmes. Editorial listings awaiting a playable source or rights approval display NO SIGNAL, never LIVE, and never substitute unrelated films.
MADE FOR CHANNEL FLIPPING.
Use the guide or viewer to change stations. Arrow Up and Down switch channels, Space pauses where possible, M mutes, and F enters fullscreen. Resuming rejoins the current broadcast rather than continuing from a stale paused frame.
